So, you’re interested in becoming a Coach, but where do you start? In this article I discuss some of the most important factors to consider when looking at Coaching Programs. Each one has different things to consider, and I can give you the tools to find the best one for you.

Important Data to Consider

The first things to consider might be obvious, but they will always factor into your decision on a coaching program. This first type of data includes price, time investment, location, and accreditation.

Most coaching programs, such as iPEC, will have a detailed website outlining their program. This will contain a lot of information, but will often lack the important details that we’re looking for.

Instead, try and find a details page which can outline the rest of what we’re seeking. iPEC’s, for example, gives us pricing, time investment, location and accreditation.

If the program that you’re looking at doesn’t have this kind of information listed on their site, then your best bet is to reach out to an admissions representative and ask.

Coaching Program Intuition

The next important factor that I tell all my future colleagues to consider is your very own intuition. How does the program information feel? If you’ve spoken to admission specialists already, how was the conversation?

Coaching education will ask you to be the most honest version of yourself to get the most of the program. That’s why it is vital to consider your level of comfort heavily when choosing a course.

The more open and honest you are with your Coaching education, the better Coach you’ll become in the future. The easiest way to find success in this industry is to connect with clients and help them realize their potential. A mismatched education will always be a bad start to that skillset.
